Is your friend ill and you wish to cheer her or him up, but you do not want to bring flowers, and a book is the last thing on your friend’s mind right now? Have you considered putting together a gift basket? If you are uncertain how to create the perfect coffee & tea gift baskets, read on and be inspired!

If the holidays are creeping up on you, if there is a birthday on the calendar, or if coffee-tea-gift-baskets.JPGyou want to give a gift “just because,” you know how hard it is to think of a present that the recipient will enjoy, use, and also one that is personal in some way.  Gift cards are a great way to go if you are honestly unsure about the recipient’s taste, but in a way they are somewhat impersonal and do not add a lot of warmth to the actual act of giving.  For this reason, coffee & tea gift baskets are ideal!  After all, almost everyone on your gift list will love one or the other beverage – many will actually enjoy both.  If you are still uncertain about such a basket, consider that it will permit you to introduce someone to a new flavor!  What is more personal than that?

Of course, well designed coffee & tea gift baskets do not just happen, they require a bit of thought and also some planning.  First and foremost, consider the recipient’s tastes.  Does she or he enjoy one beverage more than the other?  If so, you want to make sure that you include more of the beverage she or he enjoys than of the other one. Secondly, can you think of a something the recipient may like, but will most likely not buy for her- or himself? You may have observed them splurge at a local coffee house or tearoom once or maybe saw them look lovingly at a certain flavor of coffee, only to put it back and purchase the more sensible blend. If this is correct, you know which direction to look!

As you put together your coffee & tea gift baskets, keep these thoughts in mind:
• Include a flavored coffee that you think the recipient will enjoy.
• Include a regular (non-flavored) blend that is of high quality.
• Unless you know for sure that the recipient has a coffee grinder, do not give coffee beans but stick with the already ground kinds.
• Add an assortment of teas, such as Darjeeling or green teas.
• To round out the selections of your coffee & tea gift baskets, consider adding such specialty items as chocolate covered stirring sticks, cinnamon sticks, and also honey sticks.
• As a final touch you may consider adding a gift card to the local coffee house as well as some cookies or crackers. If you want to go the homemade route for the especially personal touch, this is a gesture that is certain to be appreciated.

As you can see, there is so much variety to this kind of gift basket that you will find endless combinations that fit exactly right for each recipient of your gift list.
